Dogsledding

Join our huskies on an exclusive private dogsledding tour in Narvik and the Skjomen mountains!

Skjomen mountains are majestic surroundings for dogsledding adventures

Mushing in the winter is a fantastic way to experience the wild arctic mountains, and the dogs let you closer to nature when the only sound is their paws on snow.

We have a small kennel of huskies in Skjomendal and we give you the authentic experience of mushing your own team. It is important for us that our guests learn new skills and have fun along with our dogs, so we only take small private groups and do one tour per day.

With sleddogs you reach far into the wilderness

There are 16 alaska huskies at our farm, most of them our own breed. They are sledders doing longdistance racing and we give them the uttermost care and training, such that they can prepare for the task. Going dogsledding with us you participate in their training regime. They are part of our family, and most likely you will find at least one on the couch in the evening. When not pulling a sled, they join us for running, mountainbiking and skitouring.

As our guest you will get to know the dogs and their personalities, and on the tour we take our time, stop for a snack and enjoy the scenery. In the mountains we are never in a hurry!

Feeding breakfast to the dogs on our overnight trip

During the year we offer different activities, and you can join us mountainbiking, hiking, riding the huskywagons on Skjomenfjellet or taxiing. We offer all kind of transport in wintertime with the dogs, skijoring behind the sled, or transport equipment to areas where enginedriven crafts aren’t allowed.
